Evi Georgiou has worked on a variety of litigation and transactional matters, in a broad range of areas, including banking, commercial and financial dealings, ERISA, fraud, insurance coverage, international trade, labor and employment, telecommunications and securities. Ms. Georgiou received her J.D. degree from the Florida State University College of Law in 2005, where she also earned a certificate in international law and presided over the FSU International Law Society. Ms. Georgiou received a B.A. degree from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2002, where she concentrated in Economics. She is a member of the Maryland bar and the District of Columbia bar. During her legal studies, Ms. Georgiou explored her prevailing interest in international law and economics. In 2003, Ms. Georgiou researched foreign economic policy and constitutional law issues at the Cato Institute. In 2004, she worked in Athens, contributing to a project at the Central Bank of Greece that focused on the legal and economic implications of the privatization process in Greece. Ms. Georgiou is fluent in Greek. |
